​​About the Journal

The ILW Journal of Law and Research (ILWJLR)  is an open-access, quarterly, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to fostering academic dialogue across law, social sciences, and related fields. Indian Legal Wing (ILW) with the objective of enriching the dialogue surrounding contemporary Socio-Legal issues  aim  to provide a platform for members of academia to contribute to the Journal of Indian Legal Wing, while also ensuring that it is easy enough to get in one go ,keeping in mind our aim of connecting layman to lawman. We primarily accept submissions pertaining to Socio- Legal issues, but welcome and actively encourage interdisciplinary topics. This is in keeping with our goal to spread awareness of all aspects of Law, Society and its intersection with other fields of study.

Submission Guidelines

• Submission Heads and Word Limit: Articles: 2,500–8,000 words (excluding footnotes).

• Originality of Manuscripts: All submissions must be original works not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism exceeding 10% will result in disqualification.

• Covering Letter: Include a separate covering letter with the author(s)' name(s), institutional affiliation, designation, manuscript title, and contact details (email, phone).

• Formatting:

  • Manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point for body text, double-spaced; 10-point for footnotes.

  • Main Title: Full capitals, bold, centered, 16-point font.

  • Sub-titles: Sentence case, bold, 12-point font.

  • Author(s)' Names: Small capitals, centered, 14-point font (on cover page only).

• Abstract: All submissions require an abstract of no more than 300 words.

• Anonymous Review: To support blind peer review, exclude author identification from the manuscript body. Place name, affiliation, and bio on a separate cover page. Include the title on the first text page.

• Citations: Use ILI format. Minimize footnotes; hyperlinks are permitted where relevant. References are highly encouraged.

• Co-authorship: Permitted, up to a maximum of 3 authors.

• Copyright: ILWJLR upholds intellectual property rights. Submit only original works you own. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate rejection or takedown if published in error. Authors bear full responsibility for any inadvertent issues.

• Copyright Agreement Form: Required upon acceptance; the corresponding author must secure co-author signatures. No publication without this form.

Fees

No submission fee. A nominal publication publication fee is payable only if and after the paper is finally selected for publication post blind peer review. No fee is charged at the submission or review stage.

• Single author: INR 600

• Co-authorship (2 or 3 authors): INR 500 per author

No fee is charged if the paper is not selected.

 

How to Submit?

The manuscripts must be submitted through Google Forms only attached at the end of the post.

Submissions not adhering to these guidelines may be returned without review.
